Main Street Logistics Joins U.S. EPA Smartway Transport Partnership

HELP FOR SMALL MAIN STREET BUSINESSES WITH GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN

[Cherry Hill, NJ] – Main Street Logistics, a leading logistics provider serving small and mid-size businesses is pleased to announce that it joined the SmartWay Transport Partnership, an innovative collaboration between U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and  the freight industry designed to improve energy efficiency while significantly reducing  greenhouse gases and air pollution.

As a 3rd party logistics provider, Main Street Logistics can now help small and mid-size companies develop and implement a comprehensive sustainable program for a green supply chain. Many small businesses have the desire to reduce their carbon footprint but have neither the staff nor the outside resources to achieve their goal. Launched in February 2004, the SmartWay Transport Partnership brings together major freight shippers, trucking companies, railroads, logistics companies and trade/professional associations to pursue mutually beneficial strategies that result in emissions reductions and other environmental improvements as well as cost savings to the companies.  The Partnership currently has over 2,200 Partners.
